Under investigation were pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy with a mild degree of OPH-syndrome (gestosis – nephropathy – with swellings at the feet, later at the whole body, hypertension, too much protein in urine).
Medical Resonance Therapy Music
Group
For 7-10 days 13 women listened to the Medical Resonance Therapy Music in the morning and after lunch and had no other therapy during these days. Control GroupGroup
For 7-10 days 13 women listened to the Medical Resonance Therapy Music in the morning and after lunch and had no other therapy during these days. Before starting with the treatment blood pressure was between 130-150 mm hg. After the treatment it showed a normal level, which means below 130 mm hg. On average it reduced by 15-20 mm hg.
14 women in this group received sedative and hypotensive drugs as well as a phytotherapeutic treatment. Before the treatment blood pressure counted 130-150 mm hg. Due to the treatment with hypotensive and sedative drugs it normalized, but much slower than in the Medical Resonance Therapy Music group.
Further comments
Since the introduction of the Medical Resonance Therapy Music there were no more deaths due to gestosis in the hospital and a significant reduction of premature births could be recorded.
